Non-Fiction Editing

Non-Fiction

As a professional non-fiction editor, I work with authors in the self-help, wellness and personal development space, helping them shape their expertise into clear, structured, reader-focused books. Whether refining narrative clarity, strengthening logical flow, or ensuring the message resonates with a broad audience, my focus is always on elevating both impact and readability.

My Approach to Non-Fiction Editing

Non-fiction readers expect clarity, authority and practical value. As a non-fiction editor, I focus on strengthening structure, refining argument flow and ensuring that each chapter builds logically on the last.

Whether you are writing a self-help guide, a mindset book or a structured programme, I assess the manuscript from a reader’s perspective. Are the concepts easy to follow? Do examples reinforce the message? Is the transformation clearly articulated?

I work with authors at different stages of development – from early manuscript evaluation through to detailed line editing. My feedback is direct, constructive and always focused on elevating both clarity and impact.

A strong non-fiction book should feel accessible without being simplistic, authoritative without being overwhelming, and structured without feeling rigid. My goal is to help you achieve that balance.

My role as a non-fiction editor is to make sure your ideas are presented with clarity, logical flow and emotional resonance while preserving your unique voice and authority. If you’re writing fiction instead, visit my fiction editor portfolio.
