Wendy’s Weekly Weight Loss Tips-The Challenge

NEVER EAT ON TWO FEET!

Doesn’t sound like much of a challenge does it? Let me know if you make it through 1 day!

Remember though, this means no nicking that last piece of sausage off the kid’s plates before clearing the table, or pinching one of their crisps.  Plus, try and make a bolognese sauce without testing it every three minutes! All of which count as eating on two feet.  It isn’t as easy as it sounds.

This also means that standing in front of the refrigerator and slipping in a slice of ham whilst nobody is watching is out! Yes and that knob of cheese you think doesn’t count as is just fell off the end of the block.IMAG1334

The first time I tried this I was at work by the reception desk and one of the other personal trainers offered me a grape. I took one, ate it and immediately realised what I had done. He couldn’t understand why I was flipping out over one grape!

On a recent food show, a woman who claimed she did not eat all day, was shown to have ‘picked’ her way through 700 calories. Yes this was in one day!

The idea behind this mantra of ‘never eat on two feet’, is to only eat when you are seated and concentrating on what is in front of you. We are more  mindful of what we are about to consume if we are not distracted by an activity like clearing the table or cooking dinner. You may also consider turning off the television until you have finished as this is also a distraction.

Feel free to let me know how you get on and if you found it harder than you thought.

Good Luck!
