Wendy’s Weekly Weight Loss Tips
New Year week 1 – Eat half of everything you would normally eat.
Happy New Year everyone! This is the time of year when we regret eating everything we wished we could eat all year: Cake, chocolate, mince pies, Christmas pudding and brandy butter. So trying to go cold turkey – sorry that was bad 🙂 – and giving up everything at once is going to be hard unless you are 100% in the zone.
I am going to give you a way of losing a few pounds without feeling that instant sense of denial whilst using up all those goodies that are left. Over the next few weeks, I will share my weight loss tips. These are things that have worked for me and my clients over the years. Pick out the ones that suit you and don’t try and do everything at once.
This week’s tip is to eat half of everything you normally eat. It’s easy; have what you would have had over Christmas but only eat half of it.
Example 1 Christmas week – 2 deep filled mince pies with lashings of cream(90ml) -926 cals
New Year – 1 Mince pie, tablespoon of cream – 646 cals Calories saved 280 cals
Example 2 Christmas week – After dinner you have 4 crackers with cheese and pickles. Approx -656 cals
New Year – 2 crackers with thin slice of cheese and teaspoon of pickle – 268 cals
Calories saved approx –388cals
As you can see, these small changes can mount up to a big saving on calories if you use this method with every meal. Good Luck this week and we’ll work on our progress with another helpful and pain free tip next week.
